There’s nothing quite like a pint of real Ale!

British institutions don’t come much more iconic than that of a pint, and as we all know recently our fizzy cousins from the continent seem to be taking a hit in favour of flavour. That’s right we’re talking about the ‘Real Ale’ revolution. It seems everyone’s jumping on the beer bandwagon. With brewers popping up all over the place, this is excellent news for everyone as there’s some particularly flavoursome brewing going on out there. Here at The Merrie Lion we saw which way the wind was blowing so we polished up the old pumps and set out in search of Britain’s best brews’ (Try saying that when you’ve had a couple).

Rest assured you’ll always find a great selection of well kept ales behind the bar. We normally have at least three hand picked beers at any time. To keep you on your toes we like to change them around regularly giving you the chance to try something different. Whether it’s warming yourself by our fire with a ‘Hobgoblin’ on a crisp winter’s eve or enjoying one of our own ‘Pride of Fenny’ in the beer garden on a summery day, you can’t go wrong.
